Bringing Electrical Training to Your Facility

If you have a number of electrical maintenance personnel to train, it may be more economical to have Kilowatt Classroom, LLC., conduct an On-site Electrical Training Program at your plant or service center.

Consider the following advantages of On-Site Electrical Training:

Lower cost per employee - Bringing our equipment and instructor to your facility may be less expensive than providing travel and lodging expenses for a number of your employees to attend one of our Casper, Wyoming seminars.

On-Site Electrical Training Programs can be tailored to your specific equipment.

Scheduling flexibility - Employees can attend the On-site Electrical Training Sessions which meet their particular needs.

Close proximity to actual equipment provides opportunities for more in-depth analysis of specific systems.

How to develop an On-Site Electrical Training Program

Developing and conducting a successful On-Site Electrical Training Program will take some time and effort, but the results will be realized immediately through: improved employee moral, greater worker confidence, better productivity, enhanced safety awareness, and less equipment down-time.

Steps you should take:

  • Appoint one key individual to be responsible for coordinating the On-Site Electrical Training.

  • Evaluate your training needs. What individuals or departments need training, and on what equipment and systems?

  • Circulate copies of our standard courses to everyone involved in the training. It is very important that all employees be involved in defining the required needs. You can review our standard courses by going to the Course Catalog page of this web site to see a synopsis of each course with links to detailed course descriptions.  If you prefer, we can mail you our Training Information Packet which includes descriptions of each of our standard courses.

  • On the standard course descriptions, highlight the curriculum to show the material you would like to include in your custom On-site Electrical Training Program. Note: If you are training new or entry level employees, we recommend that our basic programs: Electrical Fundamentals, and Basic Industrial Electronics, be conducted without major revisions to insure all attendees have the adequate background for the more advanced material.

  • Give consideration to the desired scheduling and establish which employees will attend each of the seminars. As a general guideline, class size should be limited to 12 attendees for sessions involving “hands-on” lab work, and 24 individuals for theory, lecture, and demonstration sessions.

  • Forward the highlighted course outlines to us along with any additional course requirements.  Include information on the dates and location of the desired training, and we will provide a firm cost estimate. You can go to our Seminar Schedule page to determine our short-term availability.

Cost Considerations

Onsite Electrical Training programs typically run $5000 to $9,000 per week, depending on: our travel, lodging, and equipment shipping costs; the amount of preparation required to develop special text or lab material; and the number of texts and lab manuals required.
